I completed a fellowship in laryngology, and am currently the sole fellowship-trained laryngologist in private practice in Columbus.  Fellowship is subspecialty training after residency.  General otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat) residency in the United States is 5 years.  Laryngology fellowship is an additional 1 year after residency training, and involves the management of voice, airway, and swallowing disorders.

Accordingly, I treat many patients with voice disorders caused by vocal cord paralysis or lesions (growths) on the vocal cords.  Because your voice is so essential to daily life and is part of what makes you uniquely human, surgery to improve patient’s voices are some of the most rewarding procedures I perform.
