Credit Care

We’ve simplified payment to better serve you

To keep your experience clear and stress-free, Ohio Surgery Center no longer accepts CareCredit. After reviewing their process requirements, we determined it wasn’t a good logistical fit for our center.

We also heard families ask for simpler, more predictable costs. Third-party medical credit cards can include promotional terms that may add interest if a balance isn’t paid in full, require additional credit checks, and slowrefunds when schedules change. Removing this step helps us protect your privacy, issue refunds faster, and keep your focus on care.

What’s due at your visit

  • Copays, cosmetic fees, and self-pay balances are due on the date of service.
Our team will review expected charges in advance so there are no surprises.

Our financial policy—simple and timely

  • Insurance first. After your procedure, we’ll bill your insurance.
  • Statement after insurance decision. Once your insurer pays or denies the claim, we’ll send you a statement for any remaining balance (deductible, coinsurance, copay, or non-covered services).
  • 90 days to pay. Please pay your patient balance within 90 days of the insurance decision(payment or denial).
  • Need help? If you have questions about your balance or need assistance meeting the 90-day timeline, contact our Billing Team—we’re happy to review options so you can move forward confidently.

For pediatric and college student families:Parents/guardians are typically the responsible party on the account. Our team can walk you through the timing, statements, and payment steps before your child’s surgery day.

What we accept

  • Major credit/debit cards (except American Express)
  • HSA/FSA cards that were in place for the plan years that the service was incurred
  • Personal checks/electronic checks/ cash
  • Recurring automated payment plans (if available—ask our team)
  • Payment via cc or electronic check via phone or our website

If you’re planning care for a child or for yourself, our Billing Team can help you estimate out-of-pocket costs and plan payment in advance.
